I love mythology, monsters, and fairy tales. Weird combo, but Mattel has managed to make it all work: Take Monster High for example.
Lately, I have been watching Monster High on YouTube, and ohemgee. The pairings are purrfect. Not all are canon [yet! Still hoping they will be], but they are still perfect.
Cleo and Deuce [canon]:
Cleo, daughter of the Egyptian Mummy, with Deuce, son of Medusa. Cleo is your high school popular drama queen diva, who is dating one of the top boys. Although she can be rude and arrogant, Duece really does love her, even though he doesn't usually express it. Cleo feels the same way.
Draculaura and Clawd [canon]:
Um, Vampire and Werewolf? Can you say, irony? In everything ever nowadays, it's the human, the werewolf, and the vampire [#uhemtwilight]. But when you bring these two monsters together, it's anything but a rivalry.
Ghoulia and Slo Mo [canon]:
Two zombies, one a genius, one... not. Do I need to say more?
Lagoona and Gill [canon]:
The daughter of a Sea Monster, and the son of a River Monster. The problem here is... Lagoona is saltwater, Gill is freshwater. Gill's parents believe that saltwater folks are just horrid creatures- and that they should not, and could not, be together. But they kept loving each other anyway.
Jackson Jekyll/Holt Hyde and Frankie Stein [noncannon]:
Ever hear the story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde? Well, try being the son of that guy. Half 'normie' and half DJing fire elemental. Frankie, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frankenstein, didn't know that they were the same guy at first... And she fell in love with both of them. She liked Jackson first, after she saved him from being bullied.
Jackson liked her too, so he asked her out, but the problem is... His "transformation" if you could call it that, is triggered by loud music with a beat. So it often seems like he bailed on her, or stood her up. He never remembered changing... And Holt was always there for Frankie and took Jackson's place. Which is why she likes both of them.
When she found out they were the same person, she told both of them- Jackson and Holt. They argued on who was better for Frankie: the smart, sweet guy, or the loud, confident guy. Frankie couldn't decide on who she liked, plus they were the same person anyway! She decided to hit 'pause' on their relationship until Jackson and Holt figured themselves out and got their act together. [Fave ship, btw! You can love them both Frankie!!]
Heath Burns and Abbey Bominable [noncannon]:
A fire elemental and the daughter of the Abominable Snowman. Um, wut? We might have a problem here... But opposites attract, amiright?
Heath Burns is cousins with Jackson. Although he didn't accept him at first because he was a normie, he eventually warmed up to him.
He is a flirtatious, loud, conceited guy, who happens to think he is on fire with everything- in more ways than one. And once the new girl came in, AKA Abbey, he went and flirted with her, calling her 'baby'. ["My name is Abbey, not baby."]
Abbey is cold. She doesn't really notice Heath's um, affections and tends to freeze him. But when the Fright Dance was coming up, she didn't have a date. So with Frankie's suggestion, she went through with speed dating.
Earlier that same day, Heath tried impressing Abbey with juggling. Didn't work. So he went in the line for speed dating Abbey, but her friends threw him out of the line, knowing his obnoxious, flirty ways ["I'm not messing around!"].
Later, he sneaks up to the end of the line, and sets the shoulder of the monster in front of him on fire. Everyone turns to see whats going on, and he sneaks in while everyone's distracted. Heath goes in and asks Abbey to the dance [in his own way of course], but her friends catch him and tell him to leave. He sadly walks to the door [tripping in the process], but Abbey tells him to wait.
They end up going to the dance together, Abbey saying she picked him because he made her laugh.
I love this ship! Fire and ice is just, *squee*. [Fave ship next to Frankie and Jackson/Holt!]
Hehe. You can tell which ones are my favorites... *sweatdrops*
But seriously, they're perfect! Welcome to Monster High, where the party never dies.
Hai there! *waves*
So everyone knows the complicated relationship of Spencer and Teddy.
I was very sad when they had to break up. Do you know how complicated that relationship has been? Cheating, just staying friends, getting back together, breaking up again... And then that relationship just goes away.
I shipped them since the beginning, they liked each other since the first episode!
I know Spencer had to go to college. All of this conflict is good for the series, but just...
Assuming you saw the episode, Beau took Teddy out for a date right?
And Beau likes Teddy, and Teddy kinda likes Beau back.
But then this promo:
YES. YES. YES.
Spencer is BACK! I really hope that Teddy chooses him.
I know that he cheated on her, and that's why a lot of people want her to be with Beau instead.
But Teddy and Spencer had a very rocky relationship, and it would be nice if it all paid off with a smooth end. Also, Bridget Mendler and Shane Harper are dating in real life! Their characters should have a happy ending.
Oh, and did I mention that in that episode where the Duncan family goes skiing, the physic said that Teddy would meet the "love of her life" on that trip?
Spencer was there. Beau wasn't.
Spencer is the love of Teddy's life, okay? Period.
fiction > reality
